Small Group activities provide a huge value to daily life. The chance to talk and interact with residents and staff is very enjoyable. Often local visits to the Botanical Gardens and Millhouse Park offer a chance for a short walk, coffee and a chat.
Minibus outings are arranged to help with large groups particularly in the summer months. Regular trips would be to Clumber Park for a picnic, seaside visits for fish and chips and visits to the Butterfly Farm.
Craft is very popular, and enjoyed on a number of afternoons. It has been really nice for residents to have the opportunity to make cards, baskets and glasses cases as gifts for family and friends.
Entertainment takes place on a monthly basis and includes singers, a magician and on some Sundays the Salvation Army come and play at the home.
Exercise Classes to music take place in the home every fortnight.
Aromatherapy is provided on a monthly basis. The oils and massage are very good for arthritis and circulation.
Hairdressing. This takes place once a week every Thursday. |
